Double J Farms offers a wide range of different horsemanship clinics and
Children's weekend horsemanship camps. The goal of our clinics and camps is to
provide the knowledge everyone needs to properly care for and train horses.
Anyone age 7 and older that is interested in learning more about horses is welcome
to attend. Our clinic and camp schedules are very flexible and we can offer them
any time we have enough students willing to attend.

We are also willing to travel and can bring our horsemanship clinics right to you as
long as you have a good place to hold them. The minimum requirements are a 50ft
diameter or larger paddock or round pen, enough space to park our large truck and
trailer, and parking for the students.

The clinics average 4-6 hours depending on the subject matter and number of
people attending. All our clinics include classroom instruction, live
demonstrations, hands on interaction, and as much ride/horse time as possible.
We provide all the classroom materials which are yours to keep and take home
for future reference. Your are encouraged to bring your own horse if you own
one.   
Our Basic Horsemanship Clinic or
Camps includes instruction on a wide
variety of topics including:

  • Safe horse handling

  • Classroom instruction
  • Live demonstrations
  • Hoof care
  • Proper horse tack use and care
The Kids Horsemanship Clinics are 4-6 hours long and include classroom
instruction, live demonstrations, riding lesson, and as much hands on instruction
as possible. We provide refreshments & snacks plus all classroom materials which
your child can keep and take home.

The Kids Day Camps are 2-5 days long and last 4-6 hours per day. They are much
more in depth and include classroom instruction, live demonstrations, riding
lessons, and as much hands on supervised horse time as possible. We provide
refreshments & snacks plus all classroom materials which your child can keep and
take home.

The Kids Weekend Horsemanship Camps are 2 days long with overnight camping
in a tent. It is much more in depth and include classroom instruction, live
demonstrations, riding lessons, and as much hands on supervised horse time as
possible. We provide all meals, refreshments & snacks, tent, horse related movies
or games in the evening, and all classroom materials which your child can keep
and take home. Your child will need th bring a change of clothing, jacket, pillow,
and sleeping bag or blankets.

Our kids clinics and weekend
camps are a great way for children  
to learn more about horses and
meet other kids with the same
interests. The clinics and camps are
geared toward their skill level and
riding interests. They can learn
anything from basic riding skills,
proper feed and care, to advanced
riding like western pleasure or
barrel racing.
